The images include the Cat's Eye Nebula discovered by Sir William Herschel, first president of the RAS and Cygnus A galaxy - the first radio source discovered beyond our own galaxy.
The prestige stamp booklet comprises four panes - two with four of the stamps each from the issue and two mixed Machin panes of eight stamps surrounding a central label.
This cover marks the discovery of the Van Allen radiation belt by Explorer 1 and carries a Cambridge handstamp.
