The 60th anniversary Miniature Sheet, with a background of the bar, comprises four stamps – 2 x 1st class and 2 x £1.42 – depicting landladies and barmaids of the friendly local, whose colourful lives have provided a constant source of interest in the life of the street. It has been said that the female characters, strong and determined, have driven many of the plotlines throughout the programme’s 60 years and these four certainly live up to that contention.
The cover shows the sheet alongside an image of a stained glass panel from the window supported by an intricate 22ct gold-blocked design alongside a 60th anniversary cachet in the same style. The cover is completed by a Rovers Way, Doncaster handstamp. Numbered Limited Edition of 500.
