The 60th anniversary Miniature Sheet, with a background of the bar, comprises four stamps – 2 x 1st class and 2 x £1.42 – depicting landladies and barmaids of the friendly local, whose colourful lives have provided a constant source of interest in the life of the street. It has been said that the female characters, strong and determined, have driven many of the plotlines throughout the programme’s 60 years and these four certainly live up to that contention.
The cover matches the sheet with an image of the menu board advertising the pub’s famous hot pot with a similarly-themed anniversary cachet and a 'Soap Opera', Manchester handstamp.
