The 2019 Christmas issue features the Biblical theme of the first Christmas. The striking images are specially created paper-cut depictions of the major events in the Biblical narrative brought to life in a series of six beautiful illustrations. As in the past, the 1st and 2nd class are issued in standard and large values.
The Gold 500 cover features the Holy Family in the stable with a stained glass image framed by a beautiful 22ct gold-blocked design. The cover is considerably enhanced with the Virgin and Child 24p commemorative from the 1992 Christmas issue and a golden stable image which is reflected in the Bethlehem, Llandeilo pictorial handstamp.
